About Tasty Spot Cafe Irvine

Casual neighborhood eatery serving Hong Kong–style Chinese dishes for lunch & dinner.

Located at 13110 Yale Ave, Irvine, CA 92620, Tasty Spot Cafe Irvine operates as a chinese bbq serving Irvine in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Tasty Spot Cafe Irvine at (714) 328-9504; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Had dinner with my good friend Alex here last night. We arrive at 5:30p Friday night. There were only a few occupied tables but lots of staff on site. Entire staff was super friendly and polite. Prices were also very reasonable for Irvine. Food came out quickly and all the dishes were EXCELLENT! Everything was delicious and the hospitality was top notch! Our 1st 🥇 Class server Ruby was the best! She was Warm, friendly and always greeted us with a beautiful smile!😃 Although only a few tables were occupied when we arrived, by the time we left at 7pm, it was PACKED! The entire restaurant filled up super fast! I will be back for sure!!!! 👍🏼

Absolute hidden gem! Everything on the menu looked so good I had a hard time deciding. The Salty Beef & Scallop Egg Sandwich was incredible, and the Seafood Pot was packed with flavor. So authentic—it instantly took me back to my working days in HK. The unlimited lemon tea is the cherry on top. 10/10 will be back!

We visited for lunch, as this is a place we frequent regularly. If you are seeking excellent Hong Kong-style cuisine, this restaurant is exceptionally clean. The food is remarkably fresh, and the flavors are exquisite. The staff are also very amiable; Ruby, our server, was particularly friendly and pleasant. We also had the pleasure of meeting Charles and Winston, the supervisor and manager, respectively, who were both very kind and professional. We highly recommend dining here if you desire truly exceptional Chinese food. Please be aware that there may be a wait if you arrive during peak hours. Parking is readily available.

This was, without question, one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. The host, an older man, displayed an unbelievably rude, arrogant, and hostile attitude from the moment we arrived. Instead of properly seating us, he carelessly threw the menus between two tables without saying a single word or indicating which table was ours. Any reasonable customer would have been confused, so we sat at one of the two tables. Rather than politely explaining the misunderstanding, he immediately began insulting us. He accused us of having “no manners” and even mocked us by saying we should have understood what he wanted simply by looking at his eyes. Expecting customers to read his mind instead of communicating like a professional is absurd. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also humiliating and completely unacceptable. A restaurant’s first impression starts with the host, and unfortunately, this individual represents the exact opposite of hospitality. No customer should ever be spoken to with such disrespect over a mistake that was entirely caused by his own failure to communicate. We came here expecting a good meal and respectful service. Instead, we were treat
